HDPE or PE pipes as most people call it has been around and used for a long long time. It has proven itself be durable and resistant to degradation and has no corrosion making it ideal for potable (drinking) water. Much of the old piping in water racks around the country are slowly but surely being replaced with this type of piping material which will eventually benefits everyone in particular the household who can now look forward to unspoilt clear and clean water! This is because HDPE is strong, robust, does not corrode or leach harmful chemicals into the water, has no scaling problems and do not propagate sludge or bacterial build up.

This not only saves the trouble and costs involved in rectification or replacements costs when the other piping materials/systems have to be de-sludged due to clogging or replaced due to corrosion and leaking, it is literally maintenance free. Equally rewarding is that it does not cost any more than common piping materials.
